An Interview with Dr. James White

In 1995 Dr. James White authored the King James Only Controversy. There is probably no other issue so divisive and controversial in fundamental circles as the translation debate. Those who have moved away from the KJV found the book insightful and educational, a breathe of fresh air. Staunch KJV supporters found the book simply infuriating.

Dr. White was kind enough to grant me this podcast interview for the Fundamental Perspective blog. While short (and I apologize for the background noise), the interview should prove to be interesting no matter what your view on the topic may be.

Job the Science Book, Part 1 with Pastor Peter Laitres

Some Bible scholars and theologians have put forth the idea that while the Bible is always correct in its theology, it is not always correct in matters of Science and History. This week's Fundamental Perspective Podcast features an interesting message from Pastor Peter Laitres. Pastor Laitres delves into the book of Job and shows us the many scientific wonders and truths evident in the Bible even before science came along and substantiated them.

An Interview with James Earls

This week's Fundamental Perspective podcast features my interview with Dr. James Earls. Dr. Earls has a testimony few in fundamental circles can share. Often time as fundamentalists, we are labled as racists and bigots. Imagine the situation in which a black fundamental Baptist would find himself. Listen to Dr. Earls speak on his on testimony, race relations within fundamentalism, and his passion to see the black community reached for Christ.

Being on the Inside Looking Out with Dr. Roy Julian

Back on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, Dr. Roy Julian took the pulpit of Smyrna Baptist Church as he had each Wednesday evening for the past 34 years. However, this time it was different. Recent struggles with Cancer had taken their toll, and on this night a special ramp was constructed just so he could reach the podium. Yet he still preached strong and hard. "What is Going to Happen the Next Generation?" was the title of this his last message. Thursday, October 18, Dr. Roy Julian went to be with the Lord. This week, listen to Dr. Roy Julian preach a sermon entitled, "Being on the Inside Looking Out" on the Fundamental Perspective podcast.

Never Give Up with Evangelist Matt Souza

Don't give up! We often find ourselves handing out that advice to others and even more often we find ourselves at the receiving end of such advice. Why? It because we live in a difficult world. Sin and temptation await for us around every corner. We must never give up the struggle for godliness and a right walk with the Lord. Evangelist Matt Souza delivered this sermon, Never Give Up!, to the junior and senior high students at South Shore Christian School in a special spirit-week chapel back on May 25, 2006.

Three Signs of A Man-Centered Theology with Pastor Kevin Thompson

In our praise and our worship, who really is the object of this praise and of this worship? God would be the obvious answer, but would it be the honest answer? Often times we are guilty of a man-centered theology. We view God only in terms how He relates to us. As the little chorus goes, “God is so good… He’s so good to ME.” God is good because of the things He does for me. We forget that God only acts according to who He is. For more, listen in on this week’s Fundamental Perspective Podcast. This sermon was preached by Pastor Kevin Thompson at North Baptist Church in Brockton, MA.
